Description
This Sunday, Mike McClung shared another message from the Christlikeness series, called “The Way of the Cross.” In the famous passage, Galatians 2:20, Paul writes “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” In this and other passages, Paul makes it clear: we do not embrace the cross to get right with God or make ourselves acceptable. He is referring to the WORK OF the cross in our lives on behalf of the believer. The daily embrace of the Cross is a lifestyle of self-denial for the Lord’s glory. We choose to leave self behind and simply be a vessel of the Lord’s purposes–all out of love and devotion to Him. It is a mystery, but out of our submission, heaven’s treasure–Christ–is seen and released in our lives.
