This Sunday, Mike McClung started a review and expansion of his series, “Understanding the Fear of the Lord.” For the first week back in the series, he added a new part, Part 9. This message is a discussion of how the Fear of the Lord prepares us for His judgments. When Aaron’s sons sinned, there was immediate and specific judgment. Yet Eli’s sons committed worse sins and their judgment took much longer. The difference is the fear of the Lord in the leadership/priesthood. The Lord is working in His people right now to separate wheat from tares within all of us. By this the fear of the Lord will increase, and His purposes of mercy and justice–in His people and the earth–will be fulfilled.
